What's with all the people NOT born in Jeff City?

Several people are listed incorrectly as having been born or had childhood homes in Jefferson City. Mark Twain, Walt Disney, Robert Heinlein, T.S. Eliot, for example. These should be fact checked. Individuals noted in the listing were either historically important and/or lived in Jefferson City for a significant amount of time (except for Winston Churchill). Also, the term "mighty" was written in a previous edit and refers to how the Jefferson City Jays describe themselves. Twain was born in Florida Mo and raised in Hanibal. TS Eliot was from ST. Louis, Prufrock is actually the name of a ST. Louis Company, and Heinlen was born in Butler and grew up in Kansas City (He mentions Jack Mormons alot... This is becuase the Independence City Mormans, AK Community of Christ and CoC Temple Lot and others, are all headquartered about 40 minutes out of KC). If every person e.g. Winston Churchill and Thomas Hart Benton, who visited a city, were in a cities notable section, articles would be ridiculously long. Gov Jackson abandoned Jefferson City during the Civil War

and moved the state capital to Booneville, the legislator was forced to pass a bill of sucesion at gunpoint in Neosho, and the state seal was stolen by Confederate troops (in Lexington). So it is pretty pointless to say the city was occupied by Union Troops... Not to mention the majority of the population of Jefferson City at the time of the Civil War was German - who were Pro-Union and very hostile to Jackson's Gov and the Confederacy -- hence why Jackson abandoned Jefferson City.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.246.221.216 (talk • contribs) 03:46, 21 September 2005 (UTC}

I think this sentence "Jefferson City was occupied by Union troops during the American Civil War" should probably be deleted. Occupation implies against the wishes of the residents, and every thing I've read states Jefferson City residents were also heavily of German descent and very pro-union and anti-confederacy. Then maybe you guys should check your other articles......Some defined the “heart” of Little Dixie as the following: Callaway, Boone, Howard, Audrain, Ralls, Randolph, Lafayette, Monroe, and Chariton counties. Info Box: "Urban"

Shouldn't "Urban" be "Metro"? Most cities that are central cities in metros (or micros) list Metro population instead of Urban population, including St Louis and Columbia. I've heasint to directly change the label just in case someone had gone thru and excluded the less populated portions of this geographicly huge Micro SA, several of the sorounding counties making up this Micro SA populations are rather highly concentrated near the border with Cole County and their county seat and very sparsely settled elsewhere. Education

I corrected the information on education as the "Missouri Deaf School" is not operated by the Jefferson City Public Schools; is located in Fulton, Missouri which is approximately twenty miles north; and is actually called the Missouri School for the Deaf. Bsf436 (talk) 21:48, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Transportation

From the article: "Jefferson City is the only state capital in the Midwest that is not served by an interstate highway." I dispute this; see Pierre, South Dakota, at least. Someone was either going by a different definition of the Midwest (possible, as the Dakotas are sometimes categorized as Mountain or Northern Plains instead), or they overlooked that one. --Mwillia9 (talk) 03:57, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

The Tv show Supernatural filmed episode 22 "devils trap" in Jefferson City MO. Or at least it takes place here.
