because no source for the statement is given and it is not clear who Alex "AJ" Hoffman is.

Alex "AJ" Hoffman is not mentioned in [http://www.jsc.nasa.gov/Bios/htmlbios/hoffman.html the NASA bio} which seems to be the main source for the article.

First Jewish man in Space[edit]

Well, guys, it might be that this is only the first US jewish man in space. How about Boris Volynov, one of the early USSR cosmonauts. According to their coach's memoires (those of general Kamanin), there was a behind-the-scene outcry in the Soviet space establishment when Korolev put Volynov on the list of the test-pilots for the first Souyz spacecrafts in the 1960s. Judith Resnik's article has HER being the first Jewish woman in space (STS 41-D, 1984 August). If she flew BEFORE Hoffman, shouldn't SHE get the

"First American Jew in Space" credit? Also, contemporary Soviet reports claim that Valery Bykovsky was the first Jew in space (Vostok 5, 1963 June). CFLeon (talk) 19:39, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Newton's Apple association[edit]
