Skipped over 2LT and BGEN

[edit]

Does Rockwell's uncommon promotion path merit a section of its own on his page? Speaking as a retired AFSC 3H091, I feel confident Rockwell's contract specified he'd skip over 2LT and make CAPT after six months of satisfactory duty. My confidence stems from knowing USAF routinely offers commission incentives to lawyers, doctors, and dentists. However, I'm not confident to speculate how he skipped over the grade of brigadier general. I'm in favor of a section but I'd like to get input before I be bold. Skipping senior grades is uncommon but we've seen it in current history as S. Clinton Hinote was nominated to the senate to skip major general (see Talk on his page). Such promotions raise eyebrows as seen with Alexander Haig and Laurence S. Kuter. Rockwell, being a lawyer, skipped over a general rank only eight years after USAF's Michael D. Murphy controversy...
