Jeffrey Epstein pedophilia controversy[edit]

Maintenance template removal[edit]

Cecile De Jongh[edit]
De Jongh's husband was the Virgin Islands Governor for 2 terms from 2007-2015, there have been 2 governors since then. so it should say that she's the wife of the "former governor" or that she is the "former first lady of the virgin islands".

1.) The Jeffrey Epstein VI Foundation has in addition to supporting science research supports peace accords and initiatives. Donations included, Save Darfur Coalition, Nelson Mandela Children's Fund, Friends of Israel Defense Forces, Philippe Costeau Foundation, the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission.
2.) The Jeffrey Epstein VI Foundation supported the International Peace Institute's launch in Bahrain.
3.) The Jeffrey Epstein VI Foundation also established a fellowship fund at the Peace Institute to honor Richard Hooper, Senior advisor to the UN Under-Secretary-General for the Department of Political Affairs who was killed 2003 in the Canal Hotel bombing in Baghdad.

- To explain: PR Newswire is not a reliable source. The company simply archives and distributes press releases; therefore, in this instance, the actual source for the claims is the foundation itself, so still needing verification.
- Also, like the article itself, there is a glaring lack of dates, like specifically WHEN these causes were actually supported. It's disingenuous to "accidentally" give the impression that the foundation has been a long-term or ongoing supporter of a project when it may have simply sent one $1,000 check a decade ago.

Reliable sources and BLP[edit]
I have removed a slanderous claim about multiple scientists, many of them living, which was cited to an article that did NOT say the Foundation supported any of these scientists--and mentioned none of them but Edelman and Nowak. HouseOfChange (talk) 10:23, 13 October 2019 (UTC)
