also known as JPH vs. formerly known as JPH[edit]

Please provide proof that she is FORMERLY known as JPH. A lot of stuff out there (currently on the market) still has JPH. Even her website contains JPH references! --Joseph123454321 (talk) 01:45, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proof[edit]

What proof do you need other than the fact that her husband has told me to change the pages? She no longer goes by JPH and her myspace and facebook have BOTH been changed. Her site still has some flaws in it, that I am aware of, but it is not possible to change the domain name of that site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JennFan24 (talkcontribs) 17:34, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The fact that "her husband told you" is not valid proof. It is not provable as we cannot tell whether or not you're telling the truth. I don't understand why you can't settle on saying that she's known as both (which she clearly is!!) --Joseph123454321 (talk) 14:05, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you don't want to believe that I talk to her husband, that's fine. If she was known as both, I wouldn't be pressing the issue. On her myspace, where her name has now been changed, it says "Jenn Korbee (previously Jennifer Peterson-Hind)." Proof from Jennifer herself. www.myspace.com/jenniferpetersonhind Myspace domain names are unable to be changed. --JennFan24 (talk), 27 November 2008 (UTC)

http://revver.com/video/444078/mee-time-wkimee-balmilero-hanging-with-jennifer-peterson-hind/ at 00:40, she says "either one" --Joseph123454321 (talk) 04:40, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That video was before her name was legally changed. She posted that she changed her name on May 19, 2008 on her facebook. That video was filmed in September 2007. Also, she was referring to her first name. Kimee said, "Jenn Korbee" or "Jennifer Korbee" to which Jenn said, "Whichever you choose." --JennFan24 (talk), 30 November 2008 (UTC)

It doesn't matter what her legal name is, she can be CALLED either one (as she says in the video). When the video was made, if her legal name was JPH, she said she was okay with you calling her Jenn Korbee. Hence, the same is true vice versa. And her facebook is not public information, and hence cannot be cited on Wikipedia. --Joseph123454321 (talk) 17:42, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

She was referring to her FIRST name. She said 'Jennifer' or 'Jenn,' just don't call her Jenny. She is formerly known as Jennifer Peterson-Hind. Saying that is still citing her former last name; we're not completely ruling it out of the article. --JennFan24 (talk), 30 November 2008 (UTC)

I don't understand why you have a problem with one word. Why not use "also"? --Joseph123454321 (talk) 18:03, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why can't we just make it say 'formerly?' --JennFan24 (talk), 30 November 2008 (UTC)

You're the one who's making it incorrect. She clearly answers to both names, regardless of which one she legally is (and even that's not verifiable yet). --Joseph123454321 (talk) 18:49, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is updated, correct information about the changing of her last name. She's changed her stage name to Jennifer Korbee - I think it's quite verifiable. --JennFan24 (talk), 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Again, the whole "friend of the Korbees" thing - that's not verifiable. All information on Wikipedia must be referenced to a REPUTABLE source, such as a newspaper article or official website. The only availible sources refer to her by both variants, and Jenn herself said in a video that she doesn't mind which one you use - you can even use "Jennifer Peterson-Hind Korbee". What about that? Would you be content in using "Jennifer Peterson-Hind Korbee"? --Joseph123454321 (talk) 20:58, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What sources do you need?? Myspace, facebook, and her official site have all been changed. On her husband's site, he says Jennifer Korbee...If her name was Jennifer Peterson-Hind-Korbee, her husband would've told me to change it to that. She is formerly Jennifer Peterson-Hind. Also known as would imply that she still goes by that name sometimes, and she doesn't. --JennFan24 (talk), 30 November 2008 (UTC)

I'm still not convinced. If you personally know Jenn and Tom, maybe you should ask them to make a statement/blog entry on their official websites clarifying this whole name issue. Ask Jenn if she wants it to be "also" or "formerly". There's no other way to settle this, I guess. --Joseph123454321 (talk) 21:38, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't take advantage of the fact that I am able to get in contact with them. Tom asked me to change the wikipedia entry, so I've done as I was told. He told me that Jenn doesn't go by Jennifer Peterson-Hind anymore, and I think they've both made that clear. The fact that her name has been changed on pretty much all sites isn't enough? --JennFan24 (talk), 30 November 2008 (UTC)

...Which is why I'm settled on leaving the article's title as "Jennifer Korbee" and all references to her as "Jennifer Korbee". However, I'd continue to stress that she is still called "Jennifer Peterson-Hind" in many contexts - her DVDs, CDs, parts of her official website, etc. Again, I can't stress this enough - private communications are NOT CONSIDERED SOURCES for Wikipedia! Sources HAVE TO be PUBLIC!! If you don't want to contact Jenn about this, then I'm afraid our disagreement cannot be settled, and we'll just keep reverting each other's edits forever! --Joseph123454321 (talk) 22:06, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Public sources? Myspace, official site, facebook... --JennFan24 (talk), 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Official site, her CD, Hi-5 CDs/DVDs still have Peterson-Hind - hence, she is referred to by both. Anyway, we have to come up with a way of settling this - I think having Jenn settle it herself (by making a public post) is the only way out. I have no idea why you don't think that would be a good message (especially since you claim that you've already discussed Jenn's name changes with Tom). If you want, I could always message her with "Jenn, some guy/girl on Wikipedia doesn't believe that you go by both names". --Joseph123454321 (talk) 22:13, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You don't have to believe that I talk to either of them because I know I do, and I know what we've discussed. But whatever. Let's just forget this conversation ever happened, and we can go back to reverting each other's edits :) --JennFan24 (talk), 30 November 2008 (UTC)

:) Oh, and I meant 1:50 in the video, not 0:50. Sorry. --Joseph123454321 (talk) 05:23, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't move the page; that implies her name is hypenated, which it is not. Her name is Jennifer Korbee. If you feel so strongly about your "also", whatever, leave it, but just don't change the page location. JennFan24 (talk) 23:29, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
