Possible copyright violations[edit]

There are some sentences that appear to be directly lifted from Greg Lawrence's book. See here for instance. --Tiger MarcROAR! 04:15, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that the revision on 23 February 2006 by User:160.79.140.254 introduced copyrighted sentences and phrases that were not treated as quoted material. For instance, "Robbins was born "Jerome Wilson Rabinowitz" on October 11, 1918, exactly one month before the end of World War I" is quoted directly from the Lawrence book. For more, compare the first page of the book on Amazon to the "Youth" section of the WP article. --Tiger MarcROAR! 04:35, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What is his influence and importance?[edit]

Could someone add a section about Robbins' influence and importance in the arts? That seems like a big missing piece to this article. --Tiger MarcROAR! 02:16, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

HUAC and being gay[edit]

I don't know much about Robbins but it seems strange that he would be called in front of HUAC for his communist sympathies while the committee ignored his homosexuality. --Tiger MarcROAR! 02:18, 31 December 2006 (UTC) lol — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.83.136.206 (talk) 03:41, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Named most names?[edit]

This article says Robbins named the most names. The Zero Mostel article says Martin Berkeley named the most.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.132.221.211 (talk) 19:00, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think Ronald Reagan should be on the list of people who named names. He cooperated with HUAC, and had dealt with communists in Hollywood, but "naming names" usually implies something like listing people you knew to have attended communist meetings or done other communist activities in private. If you wish to read his testimony, (where he says, by the way, "As a citizen, I would hesitate to see any political party outlawed on the basis of its political ideology"), it can be found at http://www.twcnet.edu/cschutz/history-page/Consensus/Reagan-huac-testimony.html. 76.170.135.52 (talk) 04:02, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Berkeley by far named the most names, and my hunt through the Amazon previous does not reveal any such statement in the book to which that is sourced. I've removed the list of other people who named names and substituted it with a more relevant list of the people who Robbins named. It is true that Reagan didn't name names. Personal life?[edit]

Did this man have no personal life at all or is it just not mention in this "encyclopedia" article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.69.81.2 (talk) 19:33, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
