Copyvio issue

[edit]

Information previously on this page introduced by User:AriGold (see: July 25, 2005 edit has been removed, as the article text is a copyvio from the IMDB (source: [1]). I am presently rewriting the text to avoid the copyvio issue. In the meantime, I am using the {{inuse}} template, so please do not edit while I am working on this page. Thanks for your patience. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 18:39, 1 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I'm done. Please feel free to modify it now. Also, if you have any comments, let me know on this talk page. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 20:20, 1 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Birthdate conflicts

[edit]

Moved the following block from the article page to here.

  • Although IMDb and other sources list July 10, 1980 as her birth date and several other sources state that it is December 3 1981 the official digital playground website lists it as July 16[[2]] and that (along with the birth year of 1980) seems to be the conclusion when looking Jane's official myspace, particularly its comments section[3].

that is the wrost picture of here Ever —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Replacment 4 the hulk (talkcontribs) 04:34, 7 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

We'd need a clear statement of license from the magazine permitting it to be placed in the public domain before we can make use of it. Tabercil (talk) 13:40, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Her name?

[edit]

It may seem like a trivial fact but shouldn't this biographical article mention what her real name is? I assume it's not really Jesse Jane - if for no other reason than I have a video that says "Jesse Jane" is a registered trademark of Digital Playground. MK2 04:56, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My stepfather was the general manager of the Hooters -- or at least one Hooters -- where she worked, and her first name is definitely Cindy. I suppose "my stepfather said..." isn't a valid source, though... but I just thought I'd mention it. - furrykef (Talk at me) 06:29, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject class rating

[edit]

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 07:01, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nikki Tyler

[edit]

An editor put in that, according to Jenna Jameson's autobiography, Nikki had a relationship with Jesse. I certainly don't remember reading this. Can anyone with a copy of the book verify this along with the citation to the page number? Due to WP:BLP, I removed this mention from both the Jesse Jane and Nikki Tyler article. The image File:Desensitized.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.

Yesterday I reverted link spam substituted in the infobox and external links, I've been reverted, by a different IP editor and don't wish to be accused of edit warring. Can someone else take a look? I believe them to be spam because

  1. The links have http://join rather than http://www
  2. They have what appear to be affiliate codes as part of the link.
Any help or support is appreciated Nicoli Maege (talk) 11:31, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I have also reverted to what looks like the official site at first glance. Keith D (talk) 12:09, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There has been a rash of such links on various porn star articles in the last few weeks/months. You're correct to revert them to the bare links. Dismas|(talk) 13:52, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks very much guys Nicoli Maege (talk) 15:12, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Aside from the spammy WP:SELFPROMOTION amd WP:COI nature of this info it is using only WP:PRIMARY sourcing. Wikipedia is not here to sell this product. MarnetteD|Talk 22:19, 3 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I removed two links in the "External links" section. Four is more than enough, and five possibly with consensus, but this can be a B-class or better with some work and should not be saddled with an over-abundance of links. Otr500 (talk) 18:25, 7 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
