Why the name change?

[edit]

The article says that Jessica was originally named "Jiri". Can anyone say why she changed her name? And, come to think of it, what is her ethnicity? I can't guess from a name like "Jiri". Just curious. -- Jalabi99 05:41, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

From what I can tell, she was born in former Czechoslovakia. Jiri is a boy's name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.252.175.189 (talk) 18:31, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Since she is a living person, and I don't find any information on her webpage (besides the name on several white papers), she may not want this to be public information. I am removing it from the article. I suggest you contact her before putting it back up. 71.231.183.2 (talk) 22:14, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed another reference from the article. This one was very offensive - who refers to trans people as "it" in this day and age?! I've also removed some information from the "professional life" section which I think may have been quoted from an interview or something, but which with no explanation was completely irrelevant. If someone can put it into some sort of context and references, I should see no reason why it should not go back in. Saluton (talk) 01:14, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This seems an odd decision. Its fairly public information and part of her biography. Of course everyone deserves to be treated respectfully, but are we actually removing truthful information from an encyclopedia because someone may want to hide something major from their past? What's next? Do we remove information about someone's previous marriage because they want to forget about a failed romance? It an author doesn't like some old book they wrote, do we leave it off their bibliography? This certainly makes the Wikipedia less comprehensive. Michael L. it should't say "simultaneously (four pairs)"

[edit]

"The first layer corners and edges of the second layer are put into their correct positions simultaneously (four pairs)" da la idea de q se colocan los 4 pares simultaneamente, lo cual es incorrecto, y solo realizable por una mente superior, idea q frustra a un principiante leyendo esto (lo mas importante es q el metodo no es asi, sino que se coloca un corner-edge por vez).
