[edit]

This Article serves nothing but to promote Jessica and is completely biased.

I've deleted some of the text, but she at best deserves a stub Aibohphobia101 (talk) 09:14, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Jessica Sanchez will win American Idol Season 11 big time!

She didn't Aibohphobia101 (talk) 09:13, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

[edit]

Anyone listening Jessica Sanchez singing "I Will Always Love You" today on American Idol (May 7,2012) will agree that to delete this article is a very wrong move. Anyway the article will came up later again when she win current American Idol season. Maybe the article may be premature to be but definitely somebody saw it coming and it is true. Just search in YouTube and listen. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cadalso (talkcontribs) 03:07, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

American Idol > Youtube 5 million hits

[edit]

Recommend to delete "When the video of the performance was uploaded to Youtube it received 5 million views in 3 days." Though the statement is true, the video uploaded by IdolxMuzic in YouTube had been taken down a week ago due to copyright issues.SyncSeth (talk) 23:24, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is it a Whitney or a Dolly song?

[edit]

If you go by past articles from American Idol seasons, the "Performances/Results" section clearly marks the column heading as "Original Artist". This heading has already been established by consensus for the entire 11 seasons of American Idol articles. Please do not change it to "Artist". Which leads me to the main topic. "I Will Always Love You" was originally sung by Dolly Parton, hence, she is the "Original Artist". Whitney Houston sang the cover version. If you are not familiar with the term, please click >> cover version. I thought the comment "This section is for artists who sang the song FIRST - not the version which was covered. Dolly sang this first, not Whitney." added by WIlted Youth (talk) back in March 23, 2012 was useful. I hope by bringing this issue to the talk page, would prevent repeated edits back and forth among several editors. - SyncSeth (talk) 01:07, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Very long sections

[edit]

I added very long section templates for both the American Idol performance prose section and the support section. The article overall is very large for someone whose season of American Idol was just completed and is pushing 70k in size. I believe this article has the largest sections of any American Idol contestant. I do not think we need every single judge reaction to every single one of her performances, so I think we could easily removed some of the reactions without negatively impact the article. Nor do I think we need every single tweet/support for Sanchez and what the exact quotes of the support. Some of the quotes should be taken out and just say that the person supports her. I would like to gain some other opinions instead of simply starting to remove some of this information. Aspects (talk) 21:36, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. The article should follow the format of other Idol entries. You don't see all of David Cook performances summarized this long, so why do it here? Mvching (talk) 08:56, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please change Jessica Elizabeth Bugay Sanchez (born August 4, 1995) is an American singer from San Diego, California to Jessica Elizabeth Bugay Sanchez (born August 4, 1995) is a Phil-Mexican singer from San Diego, California.

[edit]

I am requesting for the below paragraph to be edited properly:

"Jessica Sanchez (born August 4, 1995) is an Filipina-American singer from San Diego, California." to; "Jessica Sanchez (born August 4, 1995) is an American singer from San Diego, California."

Notice the hurried edit done by a mysterious person. The article "an" wasn't even modified to fit the addition of "Filipina". With all due respect, this article should stay true and unbiased. It is therefore natural to base a person's racial association to her citizenship and not ethnicity to avoid conflicts. Jessica Sanchez is an American by citizenship and this should reflect properly here. She is not a dual citizen unlike other people who have articles on this site. Otherwise, this description would fit her. It is also quite contradictory, if I may add, that it is mentioned she is from San Diego, CA. Since this is the case, this contributes more to the fact that she is American. It is only formal and respectful to anyone -- not only Jessica Sanchez -- to refer to him by citizenship. Please edit accordingly.

Jessica Sanchez Pictures

[edit]

Can you please add in a picture for her infobox? Can you please add in some pictures so that people can connect the name to a face? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.202.93.162 (talk) 10:16, 14 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Her support

[edit]

Why were the hometown, celebrity, and musician support sections deleted? That was my favorite part because it showed that Jessica is really talented because she got so much notable support. I would like to request to put it back again? And to add a profile pic for her too? thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RoyalFlames143 (talkcontribs) 12:47, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Jessica Sanchez Pic

[edit]

I'd like this pic: http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_md5rftyy4n1ry4tmbo12_400.jpg for her infobox. She looks gorgeous. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RoyalFlames143 (talkcontribs) 06:28, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Heritage - what's it's called?

[edit]

Half Mexican and half Filipina is not Eurasian, it's not mestizo either. She's not Shay Mitchell. Shay Mitchell's other half of Filipina is white not Mexican. Just so you know, Sanchez is NOT EURASIAN/MESTIZO - SHAY MITCHELL IS. Hispanic is not white is it? Selena Gomez? Mestizo is if they are half white, which Sanchez is not. Sanchez is half Hispanic, not half white. But yes, Sanchez is half Filipina like Shay Mitchell, but not half white like her. Chantal Kohl's Bernadette (talk) 16:49, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dunno but for some reason her half Hispanic and half Asian race is just simply hapa but not Eurasian and Blasian. Chantal Kohl's Bernadette (talk) 18:56, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rename page as Jes

[edit]

Jessica recently rebranded as Jes and is prepping to drop a new EP under the new name this year, so I feel like it is appropriate to rename the name to Jes. --2001:8F8:1427:2877:1824:3859:8A3F:7187 (talk) 15:48, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Death

[edit]

There are no articles proving that Jessica Sanchez has been hit by a bus and died. Foreverxnature (talk) 19:09, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
