Jim Abercrombie was born James Maskell. He was born in South Australia, not Sydney. Source Encyclopedia of Rugby League Players by Alan Whiticker and Glen Hudson and www.rugbyleagueproject.orgAndrewRLP (talk) 08:30, 11 March 2010 (UTC)AndrewRLP[reply]

Neither the website nor the book support what you're saying. Got one tiny google hit, but it was just from a quiz. Nothing I could use as a ref.Doctorhawkes (talk) 08:11, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Found a ref in the W Tigers 2005 edition of the encyclopedia. Thanks.Doctorhawkes (talk) 01:15, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

From my website www.rugbyleagueproject.org "Born James Maskell in South Australia, he changed his name to Abercrombie when his mother remarried but reverted to his birth-name after his playing career had finished"

This entry is from the Encyclopedia of Rugby League Players and was given to us for use on the website by Alan Whiticker (co-Author of the book)
