Notability and stub status[edit]

This person is notable because:

He is the author of a very well known and widely used textbook
Has published more than average number of papers

He is also (since 2015) in charge of all computer science funding from the NSF (CISE Asst. Dir.), and so runs the primary funding source for research in computer science in the US.^[1]
