BLI ≠ contras

BLI stands for "Batallón de Lucha Irregular", that is, the Nicaraguan Army's Irregular Warfare Battallions. So, they are not "contras" (contrarrevolutionaries).

On the other hand, contras never marched over any Nicaraguan city.

I had to reword some things, as I didn't alway understand. I will try to help you out more. Please forgive me for any mistakes. Your area sounds really beautiful and friendly. If possible, if the photograph is not copyrighted, you could get someone to up load it to Wikipedia so it could go right on the page with the article about Jinotega.
