Proposed Deletion[edit]

Regarding the proposed deletion for this article, Gillespie meets Wikipedia's notability requirements. Gillespie is the defensive coordinator on a team in College Football playoff contention, is a finalist for the Broyles Award and has received sufficient significant coverage such as a profile by Fox Sports that is more than just routine coverage to warrant a wikipedia article such as a profile by Fox Sports.

I think overall the case for GNG is borderline, but plausible enough for me to mark this as reviewed without nominating it for deletion. The Fox News source is a good one, but the rest of the coverage, while providing more than mere-mentions, is a bit routine in nature and I could see people arguing that those sources should not contribute to meeting GNG. signed, Rosguill talk 23:31, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
