Page worthiness[edit]

I've asked a tthe appropriate place whether there's any more information--there might be--bios on this family are very extensive. If not, the appropriate thing to do would be to change to a redirect to Leopold Mozart.. DGG (talk) 17:08, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I grabbed a bit out of Solomon's Mozart biography. Doing an article on Johann Georg is not totally pointless since it helps clarify the connection between Mozart and his first cousin Maria Anna Thekla, by identifying their common ancestor. Opus33 (talk) 23:39, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If his main notability is his descendants, then I agree the article should be merged into one of those descendants. But if anything more can be found about him - perhaps a study of his binding work, then perhaps that could raise the notability factor and justify an article about him. -- kosboot (talk) 17:37, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well, there seems to be a bigger problem: This page is plagierized from: http://www.enotes.com/topic/Johann_Georg_Mozart - an absolute no-no for Wikipedia. -- kosboot (talk) 17:43, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well actually, the page you just mentioned is plagiarized from the Wikipedia! If you're skeptical, do take another look at that "enotes" site: they've copied not just the text of the article, but also our Mozart navbox and some other WP messages. Opus33 (talk) 19:43, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. I did some preliminary hunting on JG Mozart - nothing so far . More searching tomorrow. -- kosboot (talk) 04:15, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
