Delay on Speedy Deletion[edit]

This article received a couple of tags from administrators, including a speedy deletion tag, during the first half-hour or so of its creation: However, I was actively expanding the original stub when these tags were added. Please delay deletion or other tags because I intend to finish the article momentarily. Thanks, --Skb8721 (talk) 16:40, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It looks fine now. Sorry but this seems to have been a case of overzealous deletion tagging. If someone does delete this article, contact me and I'll handle it. --W.marsh 17:17, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image[edit]

It's from 1898, so why would it be copyrighted? Biruitorul (talk) 00:09, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The modern-day print from which the image was scanned comes from a private archives. Wikipedia has permission to use it, but others would not have permission to use it. --Skb8721 (talk) 00:44, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File:Jamcilhenny2.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Jamcilhenny2.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: Wikipedia files with no non-free use rationale as of 3 December 2011

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review
