COI tag[edit]

@Melcous: why was the Added COI tag added. I have no relationship or conflict of interest with this person. It was written because he was a mayor of Carmel. Can you please remove it? It distracts from reading the article. The article has been reviewed by multiple editors. I can remove it myself, but wanted to check with you first. @Greghenderson2006: as you should be aware from previous discussions, I added the template because this was one of a large number of articles you created about a group of connected people/topics, all of which referred to and linked to your family members. That is not as strong a COI as creating articles about family members themselves, but I think in the context of that group of articles was reasonable. The tag could certainly be removed by a neutral editor if it was felt there is no non-neutral/promotional content and that the links to your family members are relevant and not mere "name dropping" (or if such content was removed), but I'd suggest the template should not be removed by you. Melcous, thank you for your reply. I understand your viewpoint regarding my potential COI. I gather the article(s) need to be evaluated from another neutural editor to see if the tag can be removed. Greg Henderson (talk) 21:23, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
