Wholesale Deletion[edit]

PandaDB: Rather than delete half the article while claiming that it is "advertising" or "bragging", I would recommend attempting to improve it. Most of the deleted content was factual if uncited. Scolbath (talk) 19:06, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Alumni[edit]

How "notable" are the listed alumni, given that they haven't graduated from college yet? Scolbath 20:51, 13 March 2007 (UTC) I've reverted to remove the edit. Scolbath 19:19, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What notable alumni? 10:49, 29 March 2008 -KS-

Auditorium[edit]

Does anyone have a citation to back up the claim about the auditorium? Scolbath 21:03, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have never heard that it was the largest auditorium in Maine, but it may be true, I don't know. It should be tagged. Earthdirt 22:08, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I Believe that the auditorium was shrunk with the added hallways because of the added elevator. Someone might want to check on that. --Pewwer42 (talk) 03:07, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I could check for you on that if you want. I am currently a junior at John Bapst, and I'll talk to Dr. Schwizer or Mr. Thomas. 10:48, 29 March 2008 -KS-

History[edit]

The Jesuit Missionary was actually the builder of St. Gabriel's church in Winterport, not Bangor but the school is still named after him. He was also noted for previously being tarred and feathered by either Ellsworth or Bucksport, I can't remember which.--Pewwer42 (talk) 03:14, 31 January 2008 (UTC) [reply]

quick facts[edit]

I think that the religion section in the side bar should be removed because the school is not a religious school at all anymore. any other thoughts? --Pewwer42 (talk) 07:17, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

clubs and activities[edit]

This list is absolutely excessive and not encouraged as per WP:SCHOOLCRUFT Entire sections devoted to small student-led organisations. Michellecrisp (talk) 02:31, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • WP:SCHOOLCRUFT is an essay not policy or style manual. Nonetheless I will pair it down as it should not be deleted. Earthdirt (talk) 03:20, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's an essay but it provides guidance, many school articles I've seen are too guilty of excessive praise and cruft. Michellecrisp (talk) 03:21, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, can you live with he current version? The whole article is fairly well cited now also. Earthdirt (talk) 03:39, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Much better now. thanks. Michellecrisp (talk) 04:14, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
