Commersonia bartramia[edit]

in Alex Floyd's book, Rainforest Trees of South Eastern Australia, inkata press, Melbourne and sydney, 1989, p393, the distribution includes Malaysia. Mccready 05:57, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, we may be both wrong. I have always thought of C. bartramia as a Northern Rivers species. You say it's Malaysian, but this claims it is native to Vanuatu as well as Australia, and makes no mention of Malaysia. This just states that the genus is primarily Australian, but extends into SE Asia. So, we may both be wrong with this plant. Peter1968 07:34, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Peter Nobody's wrong - it just has a wide distribution - it's a pretty hardy species. BTW I didn't say it was only Malaysian. Have fun and by all means ad the info re Vanuatu. Mccready 07:51, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
