Washing Machines[edit]

I assume he was selling his Dutch made washing machines door-to-door in England - why is the price quoted in dollars? Style[edit]

This is possibly the most poorly written article on Wiki. It reads like some sort of chatty redtop article doing a bio of Bloom. I'll attempt to rewrite it in a more fitting style at some point, unless someone beats me to the punch.

I've given it a fairly robust edit, tried to correct grammatical errors, and re-shaped it chronologically. It probably needs more work and better referencing Cj1340 (talk) 10:04, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Factual Errors[edit]

Bloom did not enlist into the RAF - he was conscripted unther the National Service scheme. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.192.60.30 (talk) 14:57, 24 May 2011 (UTC) hh[reply]

You mean he didn't volunteer. Under conscription, you are simply ordered to enlist. Valetude (talk) 13:58, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 9 May 2015[edit]

"Bloom's autobiography, Full Bloom, is a walking history book but is also a journal of the moment. His lifelong friendship with Bernie Ecclestone gives an astonishingly honest insight into the billionaire world of modern Formula One motor racing and the Ecclestone family. Bloom's writing chronicles his experiences with celebrity, fame and wealth."

This reads like and book review and assumes everything in his autobiography is true.

On the subject of Radio Caroline the link says that there was a newspaper report that he made an attempt to invest in Radio Caroline on 14 November 1965, the station came on the air on 27 March 1964, and that the deal fell through so that sentence should be removed. Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. — {{U|Technical 13}} (etc) 03:29, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@MBr1951: Interesting request. Unfortunately, the edit request template didn't do the job, as it is intended to attract people unfamiliar with the article, who need an obvious and straightforward path of action. However, if you stick around, you will soon be able to make edits like this yourself.

I deleted the Radio Caroline sentence after I checked the ref.

It is OK to ask for that entire puffy paragraph about the autobiography to be deleted. It is not what we are about here. A quick web search showed that it is actually a copyright infringement of the book blurb [1]. So I will delete that too.
