Marriage information error?

[edit]

The reference to a marriage with "Daisy Greville, Countess of Warwick", though it is also found elsewhere on the Internet, simply doesn't seem credible. Check out her own entry. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daisy_Greville%2C_Countess_of_Warwick How did the woman who married Lord Brooke in 1881 when she was 20; who became mistress to Edward VII (amongst others); and who founded "a needlework school at Easton in Essex and Studley Agricultural College for Women" mange to get hitched to a Belfast vet and/or tyre manufacturer 21 years older than herself? No, it's an attractive story because of the lyrics of the song referred to, but it has to be wrong.(Kluseau 09:46, 7 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]

She also seems to be the mother of the heir of the Earl of Warwick, in 1882. Her husband died three years after Dunlop, in 1924. No solid citation for this remarriage anywhere, so I'm calling it a hoax, probably based on a subtle pun that she inspired the song "Daisy Bell/Bicycle Built For Two", and Dunlop invented the bicycle (tricycle) tire. Paragraph removed. -- Yamara 02:17, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Downe Veterinary Clinic

[edit]

I am trying to confirm if the Downe Veterinary Clinic founded by the Dunlop brothers in Downpatrick was in the same building as the Downe Veterinary clinic is in today.

Tributes/Namesakes/Memorials

[edit]

The article mentions that he is featured on the Northern Ireland ten pound note. How else is he memorialized? I arrived at this page after seeing a street named after him in Campinas, Brazil. 201.82.159.142 (talk) 21:19, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

10 Pounds

[edit]

It should be mentioned that he is portrayed on the 10 Pound note of Northern Ireland (Danske Bank) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.67.223.228 (talk) 21:49, 3 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
