Apparent confusion of American journalist with 1955 editor of The Scotsman
[edit]I've commented out a longstanding redlink, pending replies here and probably further investigation. It reads:
- [[John Buchanan (journalist)]], US-American investigative reporter, see The Scotsman.
Our article on that Edinburgh newspaper currently lists a John Buchanan as having served as its acting editor in 1955. My first impression is that the redlink confounds two distinct persons: The American investigative reporter and one time presidential candidate is not the same John Buchanan, I suspect, who edited The Scotsman. I'll try to find time to investigate further, but can anyone readily confirm or refute this? – OhioStandard (talk) 18:39, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
