New reference[edit]

@Marine 69-71: Check this reference Legendary Locals of Buckeye. I've already added it as a reference in the Namesake section. There's other good info there, mine it out without plagiarizing. Copyright violations are a big no-no. Good luck. — Myk Streja (who?) 05:01, 24 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. It is a great reference. Tony the Marine (talk) 05:59, 24 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Marine 69-71: Check it out: the article has been declared notable. We did it.  — Myk Streja (who?) 02:16, 26 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Alright! Thank you for being there always. Tony the Marine (talk) 15:54, 26 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Navy Cross[edit]

@Marine 69-71: First, off-topic, does the 69-71 represent the years you served, the years you spent on tour, or are they something arcane that a civilian will never get? You served in Vietnam?

I'm having doubts about the Navy Cross shrine in the middle of the page. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve our respect, but I think the article would be better served if the whole display box wasn't so in-your-face. What do you think? I'll work it over, you tell me what you think when I ping you?

P.S. Use colons to indent replies to talk page messages in most cases. See the above topic while in edit mode to get an example.  — Myk Streja (who?) 02:01, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
