I've removed the statement that this person graduated from St John's College, Cambridge. Alumni Cantabrigenses does list a John Cole who was at St John's, but he matriculated in 1548. This seems like a bit of a stretch for him still to be serving as archdeacon in 1584. Opera hat (talk) 11:25, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
