Merge proposal[edit]

The stub at Stair House should be merged into this article. Please discuss.

  • Don't merge Why merge an article on a house with one about a person? Especially when the person in question didn't build the house - it was there before he was born and still remains, long after his death. Surely if you want to merge the Stair House stub, it should go into Stair, East Ayrshire. But there are plently of viable articles on historic houses, so I don't see any strong reason to merge it anywhere. Regards, Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 17:05, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Don't merge There ought to be enough to be said about a Category A listed building to merit an article of its own. Diomedea Exulans (talk) 18:58, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Don't merge The previous two entries say all that is necessary. It makes NO sense to merge this entry on an historical figure with his baronial estate, at least, anymore than it would make merging that of Queen Elizabeth II with that of Windsor Castle....
