"Denomination: catholic

[edit]

Catholicism, (capital "C") is not a denomination. It means universal as contrasted to nominalism. The distinction being exemplified in the definition of "man". Catholics hold that there is such an entity as "man universal", a template in the mind of God. Nominalist believe there is only individual "Tom, Dick and Harry"s and the title of "man" is the name used to represent them, that there is no universal archetype or template.
