Bias[edit]

I work for John Glen MP. I note that this article has been subject to numerous edits, to include a biased description of Mr Glen's beliefs, and disproportionate weight given to his position on the same-sex marriage bill. Obviously all of Mr Glen's voting positions are a matter of public record, but it is evident that this article is not attempting to be based on a NPOV. In order to avoid a conflict of interest, or edit warring, we don't wish to continuously delete or edit the article, and would be very grateful for any help in restoring it to be a factual rather than ideological biography. Same sex marriage bill[edit]

Can I ask, why does this politician have an entire section of his page devoted to his vote on a single bill? 194.70.34.202 (talk) 11:00, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Size and detail[edit]

I don't normally delete other editors' material, but this article seems to me to go into an excessive amount of detail, almost being a list of everything he's ever said or written. I'm inclined to scrub it a bit, if no-one objects. Fulleraaron (talk) 17:45, 26 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed a large chunk of original research in this article. Please note that generally Hansard is not acceptable as a source on its own because it is *primary* - it does not show notability on its own. If you think a speech in Parliament is notable, then you will need a secondary source, such as a newspaper article, to demonstrate notability. Deleting external link...[edit]

Top of the list of external links is one labelled as "Official Website" which is totally unrelated to John Glen & actually a critique of politicians voting records on human rights. I'll message whomever posted it as it's a total misrepresentation. Spielberg (talk) 17:16, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The website comes from Wikidata. It was www.johnglenmp.com when I added it there in 2018, but like you said it's been hijacked, probably after the domain expired. I updated Wikidata to www.johnglen.org.uk and I'll add back the external link. Wire723 (talk) 18:19, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
