I've actioned the merger proposal that was placed here and at John Hamilton Reynolds (poet) in February 2012. That presumably addresses the concern raised here as well. Apologies that it took so long to address that. I'll check with the proposer of the original merge to check that all is OK here (the John Hamilton Reynolds (poet) article had a different birth year, but appears to be the same person). Parts of the article were clearly referring to what is said in this article, so if there is another John Hamilton Reynolds, also a poet and dying the same year (this seems unlikely), then there has been a lot of confusion. The edit history of the redirect should be examined to see if any of the material can be used here. The version before redirection is here. Birth year[edit]

The DNB and other sources give his birth year as 1796, making his death age 56. Are you sure it's 1794? I also query the statement he died three months after his birthday, as he reached his last birthday in September before dying in November 1852 (two months difference).Cloptonson (talk) 19:29, 24 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
