Can someone clarify a fact please?

[edit]

The article currently has this sentence: "Harrington is credited with an assist on Mike Eruzione's go-ahead game-winning goal against the USSR." This may well be correct but it contradicts the article on Mark Pavelich which has this sentence: "He (Pavelich) got the only assist on the game winning goal by Mike Eruzione." In hockey, it is possible for two assists to be credited on a single goal. But one article claims there was only one assist on the go ahead goal by Eruzione. Which is it?
