Clarifying dates of death, and other things to follow up on[edit]
Lonyson died prior to 21 August 1582, when Richard Martin was granted the role of Master of the Mint as his successor [1]
The probate record for Lonyson's will (in the National Archives) is dated 27 November 1582 [2]
The date on his tomb at St Vedast's (19 May 1583) must be the date the monument was erected
His widow Mary remarried Ralph Woodcock, a grocer (looking for date)
Robert Armin, son of a tailor from King's Lynn, was articled as apprentice to Lonyson for 11 years in October 1581, but Lonyson died "six months later" and Armin was apprenticed elsewhere. - PKM (talk) 18:32, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
