hangon tagging

[edit]

This is not my article, this was actually written by the subject himself. However, the subject is notable, and this is on my own list of articles to write. This does, however, need rewritten in an encyclopedic tone. Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 00:25, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I realised this and removed the speedy proposal I had added and I have warned the user. However, it is still a copyright violation unless the user is John May and he releases the source under a free license. --Bduke (Discussion) 00:38, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

COI and autobio tagging

[edit]

Yes, we know, and are in discussions with the author/subject right now. He is notable. Removing tags. Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 03:39, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

When the COI is gone they can be removed. His notability doesn't negate the fact it's an autobiography.--CyberGhostface (talk) 03:42, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Those are two separate issues, both of which we are aware of and are working on. How do you propose to eliminate the COI? We can't very well tell someone they can't edit the Wikipedia, so...? Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 03:48, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In my opinion the COI issues have been resolved because everything in the article is now rewritten from what was added by the subject and everything comes from the Scout Association sources and not from the subject's own blog. The Scout Association sources are independent of the World Committee which elected him. It is no longer an autobiography, so I think the tags should be removed. --Bduke (Discussion) 04:43, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fine, they're gone.--CyberGhostface (talk) 15:31, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
