The external link "Centenial of Flight: John Moisant" is broken at this time (server does not respond). If after a few days it is still broken please remove it. Thanks. --Dan East 04:03, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Illustrations

[edit]

I have re added the commented out Image:Moisant-John 01.jpg. Since he died in 1910, the photo from life should be of PD-US age, no? Perhaps that would be a more appropriate copyright tag for the image? -- Infrogmation 17:01, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Opening paragraph

[edit]

I wonder if the original author could clarify or elaborate on the significance stated in the opening section about Moisant being the first aviator to carry a passenger in the state of Mississippi. The rest of the article does not follow up on that, and I wonder why being the first pilot in a particular state merits equal status with other aviation landmarks, such as first to fly the channel, or from one European capitol to another, etc. Without an explanation deeper in the article, it almost comes across as...well...a laughable accomplishment. Especially when compared to his other "firsts." ShelbyMarion (talk) 21:57, 6 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
