Queries

[edit]

1. I don't quite follow this: "As a result of the mistake he was not persevered." - what does it mean?

2. In "then on to Churh from 1919 to 1921" what is "Churh"?

3. Could the redlinked Martin-in-Cleveland really be Marton-In-Cleveland? Seems plausible.

Any views please? Thanks DisillusionedBitterAndKnackered (talk) 23:23, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I may be slightly WP:bold and fix one or two... DisillusionedBitterAndKnackered (talk) 23:25, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Right I've assumed my Marton suggestion was right - if not please sort! Also from elsewhere in the article I've assumed that Church is the correct name of a team. (Likewise Haslington with T not D.) I have not done anything with "persevered" - is this specialist cricketing usage, or just wrong? And that's me done for now. :) DisillusionedBitterAndKnackered (talk) 23:33, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Persevered - further to (1) above, with no reply in 10 months I've replaced "persevered" with "kept on". If this was wrong, please enlighten me. Other points: It now points to Marton-in-Cleveland, not Martin-in-Cleveland, so that's redundant. I've struck out queries (2) and (3).
