This article is in the process of being created. As an admirer of this artist's work, i decided to create a page on wiki as no one else had, I simply saved the page after writing the biography section before adding the works, hence making it appear it was just about the person and not their reason for notability

I will be adding independent references over the next couple of days - please allow me to evolve the article before asking for deletion —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kjzaloy (talkcontribs) 18:21, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's considered better practice to work up an article in complete form before you publish it. You could, for example, use the page User:Kjzaloy/sandbox to create the article, then copy it over to the main article namespace where it belongs. That keeps your work from being deleted while you work on it -- anything that doesn't list appropriate references can be deleted at any time, regardless of your plans for the article, for one because there's no guarantee you'll ever come back and finish it. --Darkwind (talk) 18:23, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

apologies for my error of not working up the page in sandbox.. what can I say, just learning as I go, best I can. - Kjzaloy —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kjzaloy (talkcontribs) 18:36, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Have begun adding sources and references, hope this gets rid of the delete request.. Kjzaloy

I'd also like to support this article, as a member of staff at one of the publishing companies that John has worked with, John is a very individual and distinctive voice in British Poetry. The Rialto published his collection The Prize in 2005. We think he is worthy of retaining a wikipedia entry, as he is effectively still early in his career, he will be somebody to watch and this content will become an important point of reference for those seeking general information about him. see our site here Typejunky —Preceding undated comment added 11:16, 23 March 2010 (UTC).[reply]
