"Shotgun Willie" as a Tribute to John T. Floore
[edit]Willie Nelson's song "Shotgun Willie", according to the current article, "pays tribute" to Floore. These are lines:
Now, John T. Floores was a-working for the Ku Klux Klan At six foot five, John T. was a hell of a man Made a lot of money selling sheets on the family plan
Without further context it's difficult to know how to interpret the lyrics. Describing someone's involvement with the KKK might not justify the positive connotations of "tribute", even given the time and place the song was written. For now I will change the language to be more neutral, but it would be better to add well-cited information describing the context, if it can be determined.
