Marriage

[edit]

The 2nd Baron Forester did marry, but had no children. Cited details of the marriage to follow.Cloptonson (talk) 14:44, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

They have been added, cited to Complete Peerage. His wife was daughter of a Prussian Count and widow of the 3rd and last Viscount Melbourne but marriage childless.Cloptonson (talk) 19:39, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have since discovered two references that the couple had a son who died in infancy. It was referred to in a Shropshire newspaper obituary in 1874, and recounted by Henry T. Weyman in 1902 in a chronological, biographical, article on MPs for Wenlock. Neither Burke's Peerage, Debrett's nor The Complete Peerage mention this. I am citing both Weyman's and the newspaper account, neither of which named the child. I have not found copies of the parish registers for Willey during the period available in public archives.Cloptonson (talk) 17:51, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
