Lower/upper case "w"

[edit]

I moved this here before I realized this had come up before. No source I can find displays lower case "w" for either the song or the album, so however you look at it, the product itself uses upper case "W" for all versions so we should faithfully reproduce that style here, whatever Wikipedia says about naming conventions. There seems to be a similar situation with the article about the song. Jodosma (talk) 21:58, 27 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
In fact, have a look at this. Jodosma (talk) 19:28, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Please see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Capital letters#Composition titles. Widr (talk) 20:36, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia's manual of style takes priority, so this should be moved back. AnemoneProjectors 21:19, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Also, Jodosma, you moved it to an unnecessary disambiguated title. If you were unable to move the page, you should have made a move request at WP:RM. AnemoneProjectors 21:21, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia's manual of style cannot take priority over the real world names that people use. See here. The use of lower case "w" is an error. Jodosma (talk) 21:36, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I went to WP:RM when I realised my error, as you may easily verify. Jodosma (talk) 21:36, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Also, before I ventured on this errand, I did not realise that the majority of articles referring to Join With Us use an upper case "W", Agreeing With Me Jodosma (talk) 21:45, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Other articles using an upper case "W" just means those articles should be changed. If you think the word "with" should be excluded, you should discuss at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Capital letters. I can see that you asked the song's article to be moved because it had a spelling error the first time you moved it, but no request to move this article to the non-disambiguated title Join With Us, which would be the correct title if it is to have an upper case "W" - so this is now at the wrong title for two reasons.
