Introduction correct?[edit]

I have doubts that the first sentence of this article is correct: it says A jointed-boiler locomotive was a variant of the Mallet articulated locomotive In my opinion, this is not a variant of a Mallet locomotive because the concept of a Mallet locomotive is to have a frame with the boiler, the cab and a fixed set of drive wheels, and a bogie with drive wheels under the boiler of the fixed part. Currently, there is no citation for the statement in the article.
