Extended-confirmed-protected edit request on 6 January 2021 (2)

Jon Ossoff as Senator- elect, some changes with the title need to be implemented. Pavelmarin2006 (talk) 21:09, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Article already says he is senator elect. Please be specific about what changes you are asking for. RudolfRed (talk) 00:47, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

error / typo

Seems this sentence was not finished? "Members of the House are only required to live in the state they represent, but it" 63.237.165.130 (talk) 03:58, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

I removed the "but it". – Muboshgu (talk) 04:00, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
Needs a '.' at the end :) 63.237.165.130 (talk) 04:01, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

Edit request: incorrect/misleading information regarding Senate Seniority

"Assuming Warnock is not sworn in on an earlier day than Ossoff, Ossoff will become Georgia's senior senator over Warnock by virtue of his last name preceding Warnock's alphabetically.[15]"

  • this is not actually correct. Since Ossoff was elected to a full six-year term, he will become the Senior Senator from Georgia, and Warnock will be the Junior.

"Of the two Senators from a State serving at the same time, the one who was elected first--or if both were elected at the same time, the one elected for a full term--is referred to as the "senior" Senator from that State. The other is referred to as the "junior" Senator."

I request to change it to (something like): "Upon swearing-in, Ossoff will assume the title of Senior United States Senator from Georgia, as he was elected to a full six-year term in the 2021 Georgia Senate Runoff." Crsbcn (talk) 18:57, 11 January 2021 (UTC)

There is a sentence in this bio that reads: "Women's fashion magazines such as Vogue have described Ossoff as physically attractive. Vogue in particular compared it to "[a] grown-up Timothée Chalamet"." That should be "...Vogue in particular compared HIM to..." 199.185.130.170 (talk) 05:56, 21 January 2021 (UTC)

Photo

Could we please make a consensus to include his official senate portrait. Thomascampbell123 (talk) 03:27, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Surprised no responses are here. I agree. Warnock has had a photo for two months or so, so Ossoff deserves the same honor. Muhibm0307 (talk) 03:44, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

@Muhibm0307: There are likely no responses because the topic has been discussed at length, repeatedly, in the sections above. This is not an issue of honor or what Ossoff deserves, but one of copyright. Until there is an official portrait in the public domain, as there is with Warnock, we are limited in what we can use. A few people have mentioned above that Ossoff's office has said they are working on preparing a photo (see Connormah's comment in #Semi-protected edit request on 15 April 2021 and DemonDays64's in #Stop changing the photo to the one from the Senate website).
