"maskil"[edit]

"Maskil" is not a currently-used term for Jewish professionals, except possibly by Jonah Rank himself, so the casual way it is used here makes me wonder if he wrote this article. As far as I know he resorted to the term to avoid being called some version of male rebbetzin.
