Jordan OmogbehinOmos – This is his new WWE ring name and is how he is being referred to by approved WP/PW RS's. GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 17:45, 21 December 2020 (UTC) Relisting. —Nnadigoodluck 12:34, 31 December 2020 (UTC) Relisting. —Nnadigoodluck 18:20, 7 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

if must be moved then move to Omos (wrestler) given that he's a wrestler, and Omo has several subjects that could be pluralised In ictu oculi (talk) 00:30, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose disambiguation The only subjects on the page Omo that could reasonably be pluralized are all acronyms that would be written as "OMOs", and would not cause confusion, especially since "Omos" already redirects to this article. GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 07:46, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Speaking of which, why did you change the redirect target of a contested move subject, @In ictu oculi:? GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 07:49, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I just reverted it [and now you've put it there again], it was recent and connected so better to start from status quo rather than have "especially since "Omos" already redirects to this article" as a fait accompli. Always better to start from status quo. When we look in books and see things like "In Nigeria his Omos ( children ) dress in leopard skin and use emblems representing him , such as the bow and arrow . He plays a very important role in the life of the Yoruba since he is the provider of all meats consumed in that region" better to have some discussion first. I'm not convinced that this bodyguard is the only meaning for these four letters in the history of mankind. In ictu oculi (talk) 13:11, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And while we're at it we should add to the dab page In ictu oculi (talk) 13:35, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The raw stats (from Google Trends and Pageviews Analysis) show a massive spike in interest for the term "Omos" after this subject had his ring name changed to it, which was when @Jaguar83: changed the redirect. Everything on WP:COMMONNAME and WP:NAMECHANGES supports changing subject to "Omos". There is no evidence that anyone is confusing "Omos" for any of the many "Omo" subjects and those that may arise can be distinguished. GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 17:11, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Jordan OmogbehinOmos (wrestler) – This is his new WWE ring name, as used by WP/PW-approved reliable sources. GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 14:02, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

And my request would obviously be to move the BLP to where the redirect is, no? GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 09:08, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Jordan OmogbehinOmos – Has been a staple on RAW for almost a year, and his built a lot of popularity under the name Omos including winning tag team gold. Google results also show way more results for Omos rather than his real name. ♡RAFAEL♡(talk) 11:11, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support move over redirect per my original move request from December 2020. The 8 months that have passed have only seen subject become more heavily featured on WWE programming under his ring name Omos. GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 17:45, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The statement that Omos is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time does not stand scrutiny, unless the reference to greatest equates to tallest. Id that is the case, it needs clarifying. If not, it needs removing. 2A02:C7E:4CB0:9200:49F7:A3AE:4FDC:118D (talk) 21:47, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes Omos is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of his generation. I think you misunderstood the grammar, it says regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of his generation and not all time. He’s one of the greatest professional wrestlers of his generation is widely supported by reliable sources and the statement in this article is supported by reliable sources. Jexta8866 (talk) 03:04, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Jexta8866: Sorry, but this claim that the IP is pointing out that you are defending is ridiculous and has multiple issues and should be removed promptly. The cited source says And yet, his manager MVP heaped praise on his charge on an edition of After The Bell with Corey Graves when he called the Nigerian Giant “the greatest giant to ever grace a WWE ring” and that his charge was better than Andre himself. This is a gross violation of WP:NPOV as this claim is being made by MVP (wrestler), who is the in-character manager of the subject. It is very clearly an opinion, which is being stated in wiki-voice as a fact, without even attributing where the claim is being made from.
Secondly, ITR is not a reliable source, as it is not listed on the list of reliable sources at WP:PW/RS. It should not be used at all, let alone to support an outrageously POV claim on a BLP. ― "Ghost of Dan Gurney" (talk)  03:55, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Done - I have fixed the lead of the article to remove the NPOV violations and other in-character garbage that has no place on an encyclopedia.
