This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 04:06, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

Intro - famous

Seriously disrespectful introduction... Priller didn't become famous b/c he strafed the D-Day beaches one single day. He became "famous" by virtue of his leadership w/in the Luftwaffe, his success in combat and all the rest that he accomplished during the war (and after!) as one of Germany's most respected and regarded Aces! The introduction needs to be totally rewritten, but at the least this erroneous and odd attribution of fame should be rendered harmless by affording it the trivial status it deserves. Arithmetic problem

"101 victories. All his victories were recorded over the Western Front, and consisted of 11 USAAF heavy bombers, 68 Spitfires (the highest Luftwaffe ace's tally for these aircraft), 11 Hurricanes, 5 medium bombers, and 5 USAAF fighters". That adds up to 100, not 101. While trivial in itself, presented facts need to be consistent and accurate. Rcbutcher (talk) 22:40, 10 January 2014 (UTC)

Start - really a stub, but other projects have as start. Needs more info and a picture. Aboutmovies 09:37, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Recent edit

I rolled back a recent bold edit which reverted the article to the state it was in July 2016: version. The article has been significantly edited since then, and such roll-back is not helping to improve the encyclopedia. Please let me know if there are any concerns.
