Vital dates[edit]

The sources seem to differ: Birth - either 20 August or 22 August 1827; Death - either 21 July or 22 July 1870. Can anyone sort this out? -- JackofOz (talk) 03:27, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

References, copyright violations, and plagiarism[edit]

I removed Find a Grave as a reference (unreliable) and placed it as an external link. I saw a hidden note of copyvio and looked at the references. There was blatant copyright violations and plagiarism. It is my opinion that a note, hidden or not, should not be used on an article denoting copyright violations or plagiarism but immediate action to solve the problem. Wrong Strauss?[edit]

The summary block at the bottom of the page says Johann Strauss II, not Josef Strauss. Is that a cut-n-paste error?
