Previously deleted[edit]

This was previously deleted, why the zombie return, which BTW was not created in user space, at all. Darkness Shines (talk) 22:58, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Darkness Shines: I left you a message on your talk page about this. After I moved this article from my user-space to article-space, I noticed that an article with the same title had been created around January 2012 by Euphoriaq. I see that you proposed it for deletion and then it was successfully (and likely justifiably) deleted with CSD G12 as a copyright violation. Perhaps you can see that the subject of this article is notable through meeting criteria #6, #7, and #9 at WP:ACADEMIC in addition to WP:MUSICBIO #1, and WP:COMPOSER #1, #4, #5, and #6. I would appreciate any comments, constructive edits, or criticism you may have. Thanks! - tucoxn\talk 00:00, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Date format[edit]

The US date fmt is mdy, this uses dmy - is there any reason? GiantSnowman 16:20, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@GiantSnowman: In addition to MOS:DATEFORMAT and MOS:RETAIN, I simply find it easier and more compact not to use the extra comma needed in mdy. That said, Jenkins was an American composer and therefore a valid argument can be made for strong national ties. I would not be overly opposed to having the date format changed for the entire article at this early stage, as long as all the dates in the references are changed as well. Such a large amount of changes seems rather cumbersome and unnecessary. - tucoxn\talk 21:03, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Tucoxn: thanks for the response. I simply wondered if there was a convention for composers to use dmy regardless of nationality, as is the case in US military articles. If there is consensus for a change I would be willing to make the edit if you feel it is trying. GiantSnowman 13:00, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
