Biographical infobox

[edit]

IMO a biographical infobox is inappropriate here per Wikipedia:WikiProject_Composers#Biographical_infoboxes. --Kleinzach 03:25, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Still posting this even when you were told it is invalid from long standing sysops/admins. I think what they were implying was to remove that statement altogether, or at the very lest re-word so editors see they have a choice or come to a consensus on this one specific article. Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Composers#Comments by uninvolved editors..
For the record no need for one here i agree..Buzzzsherman (talk) 05:27, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Uncivil. I guess Buzzzsherman thinks he's the only one allowed to have opinions, even if no one else can understand them. If there is no need for an infobox here, why did Buzzzsherman put it there? --Kleinzach 10:28, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
In any case it's a Musical Artists Infobox. This is only for non-classical musicians, see Template:Infobox musical artist. --Kleinzach 11:01, 22 February 2010

What we are looking for is you not to tell others what they can and cant do (Was what you were told not clear)....I am telling them nothing but that they have a choice...you on the other hand are still pushing your POV on infobobxs.....I dont care about the boxs what i do care is you spewing this propaganda that you have no right to do. I put it back after you deleted it..because its not up to you to go around deleting others work. I do agree no box needed here, but we cant impose our views on the matter....So a consensus must be reach . not just you deciding for all.. Buzzzsherman (talk) 13:52, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'd wait and see what the RfC says now that Happy-Melon has restarted it from my clear statemnt of our position. --Jubilee♫clipman 23:04, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

See Template:Infobox musical artist. The text reads: "Infobox musical artist is the standard infobox for non-classical musician articles". This was confirmed by the discussion at Template talk:Infobox musical artist. This is not in contention and has no connection with the discussion at the Composers Project. --Kleinzach 23:51, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, that is true actually. There was no consensus for the removal of those words so they (rather fortunately) stayed! Inappropriately selected boxes can be removed. Hadn't thought of that one... It is effectively a WP:Disinfobox as are probably all the existing boxes. --Jubilee♫clipman 00:16, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
