The English on this page is not good at all -- in places, it is simply incomprehensible. Unfortunately I do not know enough about the subject to attempt a rewrite.

EDIT: Agreed, and still the case today. The judgement of the author is heterodox and antagonistic relative to one who is generally considered among the best Spanish poets in the 18th-century. I will try at a future date to correct this article but no promises.
