I have sorted out the formatting because the page was previously an unreadable mess. I have left them in for now, but can anyone come up with proof of the existence of all these German translations (seemingly for every one of her books)? Some of them seem dubious and suspect to me, not least because several of the titles given are in "Denglisch" of the sort that may be common now (especially in German pop music, hip-hop etc.) but was unknown then. Genealogical research[edit]

I looked on FreeBMD for any records relating to Berrisford. She was registered in March quarter 1912 in Cheadle district as Mary H Berrisford, her mother's maiden name being Forrester.

Her marriage to Clifford Lewis was in December quarter 1945 in Stafford district.

I've not been able to find anything about her death but I assume she is deceased.

@Skycloud86:, the middle record you found IS her marriage. The top record is not her birth. More reliable sources pointed towards 1921, then I found a newspaper clipping from a local paper where Judith herself stated she was born in Fenton, Staffordshire in 1921 (her husband was born in 1912 though). The last trace I can find of her is that she was living on the Isle of Man in 1979 (both she and her husband moved there in 1976). There is an unsourced family tree that says she died there in 2012. I'm not sure where we can find Isle of Man death records? --Jkaharper (talk) 00:37, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I found a website called ManxBMD which lists a Judith Mary Berrisford-Lewis dying in Ramsey in 2008, aged 87 - https://www.manxbmd.com/?page_id=965.
