Youngest Female MP died in office?

[edit]

Can she be claimed to be the youngest female Member of the British Parliament to die in office? (Her age being 53 years 184 days - correct me if I miscount.) From trawling biographies in the category list of British Female MPs, I have not found anyone younger who was still in office at death. (Marion Phillips had lost her seat in 1931 when she died the following year aged 50.)Cloptonson (talk) 21:15, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Recently established answer is No - The Hon Mary Ada Pickford died in office aged 49 in 1934.Cloptonson (talk) 11:33, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Pickford's record has been overtaken by the recent homicide of Jo Cox at age 41 this week, having been elected in 2015.Cloptonson (talk) 22:29, 17 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
