Initial feedback[edit]

Dlordd77 (talk) 19:54, 8 April 2017 (UTC) I think that some of the things that can be improved on this page is giving more biography context of Julia Foot. Explain where she was born and how she became a writer including if she had any degrees or education so she can become a writer. They should also include important books or short stories that can be linked to her. There is not a lot on her works that she did that was important to her community. There are more details that could be talked about like how was her childhood and what was like back then in her community. There could be a section on her married to church. There also needs to be more references to this page because there are two references. If there are more research there might be more information that could help with the research. To make this page better there will need alot more research and material that can help any child looking up Julia Foot to figure out why she would be important. Note there is no important information on why she is in history. This is what i believe needs to be improved. Another thing we can improve is by talking more her works that she did and give us why they are important to her work. There is a lot missing like where she went to school, how she started writing, who her inspiration was, and how was life like while growing up. These are a few questions that i would want to answer to if I were to do a report plus why is she an important figure in history. These are few details needed to start research and provide reliable research sites that the students can go to. Dlordd77 (talk) 19:54, 8 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Additions in November 2020[edit]

Changes Made + Bibliography Hello, my partner (Madelynn Marshall) and I added a lot of valuable biographical information on Julia A. Foote. We added the sections titled, "Early Life," "Family," "Marriage," "Advocacy," and "AME Zion Church." Here are the sources we used (they are also listed as references on the actual article):

- Sisters of the spirit: three Black women's autobiographies of the nineteenth century by William L. Andrews - Julia A. J. Foote (1823-1901) by Joy A.J. Howard - A brand plucked from the fire. An autobiographical sketch, from the Library of Congress
