Comments[edit]

The anecdote about discussing streaking on the Mike Douglas Show in 1970 needs backing up. The term "streaking" did not come into public use until 1973 (per Wikipedia article).

Tone nonobjective[edit]

Many parts of this article sound as though they were written by Julie or someone very close to her. This might want a bit of cleanup/revision.--75.164.155.194 (talk) 06:28, 25 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's certainly badly written: "She has expressed distaste in a few adaptations of presidencies" and "Checkers, a dog attributed to her father's career" for example. This is not properly expressed. Someone should at least clean up the prose. Jgstringer (talk) 11:39, 25 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion for a minor change[edit]

This comment is based on this version of the article ... which is date-stamped "12:46, 15 July 2019". That was the latest version of the article, when this sentence was being typed in.

I understand that the title of the article is "Julie Nixon Eisenhower", and that that has been her name since she got married (...which, according to [the third paragraph of] the "Marriage" section, happened on December 22, 1968).

The second paragraph of that "Marriage" section mentions a debutante ball in 1966, at which she was [quote:] "presented as a debutante". However, it does not sound right [to me] for that paragraph to be using the name "Julie Nixon Eisenhower" to refer to her.

She was still single in 1966. At that time, her name was [still] "Julie Nixon". (which is also the name shown in the Infobox, where it says "Born") (... and "née" means "Born").

So ... wouldn't it be appropriate, (in that paragraph -- the second paragraph of the "Marriage" section ... which is talking about an event that happened in 1966), to refer to her by the name "Julie Nixon"? (or ... maybe just as "Julie") -- ? --

Book about Pat Nixon.[edit]

This line in the page is incorrect: “Eisenhower wrote a 2007 book about her grandmother, Pat Nixon: The Untold Story”
