I really don't think that this is going to be controversial, so I'm not going to create a space for votes. If someone really opposes it, then that section can be created. - Hbackman 02:27, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What is the "(h)" for? K-UNIT 03:55, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

(edit conflict) Is there any reason why "(h)" is after this guy's name in the article title? I suggest a move to "Julio Roca" and a note at the top about the article to which Julio Roca currently redirects. Hbackman 03:56, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it's actually the same person... the information on the article before it became a redirect was about someone who "was Governor of Córdoba from 1922 to 1925 and Vice president from 1932 to 1938," whereas Julio Argentino Roca "served as President of Argentina from 12 October 1880 to 12 October 1886 and again from 12 October 1898 to 12 October 1904." I think I'm going to reinstate the article, move it to Julio Roca, and put a note at the top about the article about the other Julio Roca. Sound okay? Hbackman 03:44, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
...all this will be done sometime tomorrow, as I need to get to bed now. ;) Hbackman 03:45, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I can't move it myself because an article already exists at Julio Roca. I'll put it on Wikipedia:Requested moves. Hbackman 02:21, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The (h) stands for hijo (son, in Spanish). Don't move the page, this guy is not same as Julio Argentino Roca, one was governor of Córdoba (Argentina) and the other was President of the Republic; homever, the article's name should be changed to prevent further problems like this. Cheers. PS: Contact an Argentine next time. =) --OneEuropeanHeart 19:07, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the clarification. :) Moving the page basically means changing the article name, but maybe the name could be changed to "Julio Roca (son)" and Julio Roca could be made into a disambiguation page. Hbackman 19:39, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Moved. —Nightstallion (?) Seen this already? 06:55, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re-moved

[edit]

Just for the record (the discussion above is 5 months old now), I've moved this page to what I think is a good name. In WP:NAMEPEOPLE the "Jr." is placed after the name, separated with a comma, so I used that. Almost nobody in Argentina speaks of "Julio Roca" but always of "Julio Argentino Roca" (either father or son). I've repaired the links to here too. —Pablo D.
